I don’t appreciate Apple’s claims that the Finder in Mac OS X 10.6 is a complete re-write using the Cocoa APIs; if the Finder can still make files with resource forks, then aren’t the Carbon APIs still involved?! While this does not mean that the … So Windows was able to copy them over to an NTFS filesystem without much data loss (extended attributes and security metadata are the only things left to lose, which the HFS filesystem driver under Windows doesn’t preserve).
